Book Content Guideline

To Publish your own book is one of the most exciting moments in a professional career. To guarantee a smooth publication process, it is important that you ensure the text and figures of your manuscript are complete and final when submitted to us. We will then handle all the typesetting and production processes. We work with our authors to create books, online courses, and digital products that change lives, inspire generations, disrupt conventional thinking, and open new career paths, and we can’t wait for you to join our community.

1. Proposal Preparation: Preparing a proposal is the first important stage in developing

Your project. Each publishing proposal requires detailed consideration. Preparing a proposal is the first important stage in developing your project. 2. Proposal Submission: Before submission, all parts of the book should be checked. 

  • Check the table of contents to ensure that part, chapter, and heading numbering are in the correct sequence, and update the chapter titles and subheadings if necessary.
  • Save each chapter or contribution, including the accompanying references, figure legends, and tables in a separate file in the original file format and give each file your name and the chapter number 
  • Save the original figure files separately and name them with your name, the chapter, and figure number (e.g. Myers-Fig1.1).
  • Ensure the text and figures of your manuscript are complete and final, and that the manuscript does not exceed the agreed-upon length.
  • If other Authors involved all permission has taken from them.

3. Manuscript Preparation :

  1. Manuscript Submission: We ask authors to provide both electronic manuscripts prepared with Microsoft Word are strongly preferred.
  • YOUR MANUSCRIPT SHOULD INCLUDE A Title Page which should contain the following information: (1) the title, (2) the name(s) and institutional affiliation(s) of the author(s), an abstract of not more than 100 words. This should be followed by the Main Text, Acknowledgements, Appendix, References, Figures, and Tables.
  • USE TIMES ROMAN FOR ALL TEXT AND TABLES. Using this font throughout will reduce problems at typesetting, especially with tables.

 

  1. Production: Innovative Production Procedure as follows. When we receive your manuscript. This includes all steps of turning your completed manuscript into a published book. If you are not sure where you are in the process, or you have any questions, just get in touch with your project editor or production editor.
  • Assessment Once your finalized manuscript arrives with your project editor, we put it through a final assessment process, so it can be formally accepted our process to change in the book started
  • Your manuscript will be assessed for completeness by the editorial manager. They will check that all text, figures, and ancillary material are present and that you have provided the necessary permission for the use of third-party copyright material in your work
  • We may send your manuscript out for review to ensure quality and content. If your book is in a series with a series editor, they may also be sent a copy.
  • We will check the number of words and estimate the number of pages in the final book and submit a costing to a publishing meeting, where the print run and selling prices are agreed.

The procedure involved converting your manuscript to a complete book:

Stage 1 Copyediting:- Once your manuscript accepted will be assigned to the Editorial Manager, whose work it is to oversee all the production processes from unedited manuscript to final files for print and electronic publication. The editorial manager will be the primary contact during production and will be in touch with you soon after the manuscript is delivered to production. The first stage of production is copyediting. We copyedit the manuscript for style, consistency, grammar and nomenclature.

Stage 2 : Typesetting: The copyedited manuscript is sent to the typesetter with our standard design specification for the text layout. Illustrations are checked and prepared for reproduction.


Stage 3: Proofing and Indexing Page proofs arrive from the typesetter for you to check. These are usually supplied as editable PDFs onto which you can markup corrections. You can also compile an index from these proofs if not already prepared. Once you have returned your proofs, your corrections will be sent to the typesetter for them to incorporate. The index is also sent for the setting. Your production editor then ensures that all proof corrections have been accurately made.
 

STEP 3 - Digital publication Once the content is final, the typesetter will create and supply digital formats. These will be checked by the production editor.

STEP 4 - Printing and Binding The book is now ready to be sent for printing and binding. When your book arrives from the printer it is quality checked. Then our distributors are instructed to release the book, allowing orders to be fulfilled.
