Artificial Intelligence (AI) Guidelines

Peer reviewers are essential for upholding the integrity and standard of research. Therefore, it is crucial to tackle this obligation with openness and caution. 

AI tools should not be utilized for processing or evaluating submitted manuscripts, including for language enhancement. Submitting any section of a manuscript to an AI tool can: 

• Violate confidentiality. 

• Breach the author’s rights. 

• And potentially compromise personal or sensitive data. 

Reviewing manuscripts requires human skill, careful examination, and specialized knowledge. Although AI can replicate patterns, it cannot deliver the depth or responsibility that human evaluators offer. Ultimately, reviewers and editors must exercise great caution in their review reports and in maintaining the integrity of the peer-review process in publishing.
