Manuscript Submission Guidelines


Manuscript Submission Process

All manuscripts must be submitted online at www.mprp.in. The submitting author, usually the corresponding author, is liable for the manuscript during the submission and peer-review process. The submitting author must ensure that all eligible co-authors included in the author list read the authorship qualify criteria and that they have all read and approved the submitted final version of the manuscript. In order to submit the manuscript, first-time users needs to register first from the submission portal. Upon successful registration, you will receive an email verification mail and on confirmation, you will be able to log in as an author or you can directly log in by using your credentials (Username-Registered mail ID & Password) or also with Google or ORCID ID.

Upon successful registration, log in as an author and submit your manuscript for further processing. While submitting, the author is required to provide information on potential funder agreements. During submission of the funder details, you must ensure to meet all of your funder requirements.

Manuscript Preparation

  1. Title Page Information: Manuscripts must be prepared in accordance with Manuscript Title, Author list, affiliations, abstract, and Keywords. 
  2. Original Research Manuscript: must include Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Figures, Tables, Conclusion, etc. 
  3. Author Ethical Responsibilities: The author should provide Supplementary Materials, Acknowledgement, Author Contribution, Conflict of Interest, Funding, Data Availability Statement, and Citations. 
  4. Presentation and Format: includes appropriate Spacing, Margins, Page Numbering, Word limit, etc.

Cover Letter

Cover Letter must be included with each manuscript submission. It should be concise, explain why the content of the manuscript is significant and find the context of existing work. It should explain the manuscript relevance as per Aims & scope of the journal. The cover letter should include the following details: 

  1. Manuscript Title
  2. Type of Manuscript 
  3. Author's full name (First name, Middle Name, and Last Name) 
  4. Complete Affiliation (in sequences) 
  5. Contact no. and email id 
  6. ORCID ID/Researcher’s profile 
  7. Author should disclose the use of AI in the manuscript as per ICMJE criteria. 
  8. Disclosure of any conflict of interest or funding sources.


Title Page Information

The Title page should include:

  1. The title of your manuscript which should be concise, specific, relevant, and informative including the major keywords, formulae, and abbreviations used.
  2. Running title or short title, should not be more than 40-50 characters.
  3. Authors’ first and last names must be provided. The initials of any middle name can be added. The standard format used for PubMed/MEDLINE for affiliations is complete address information including city, pin/zip code, state, and country. The affiliations should be given as 1, 2, and 3 but not marked with symbols.
  4. The corresponding author manages all pre- and post-publication communication for the manuscript, and must have their name, address, contact number, and email address clearly stated. Updated institutional email addresses and contact numbers for the corresponding author are required, adhering to authorship qualification criteria.
  5. Keywords: Include between three to six keywords. These will be used for indexing. You can use resources like MeSH (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/mesh/ ) on Demand to select appropriate keywords in case of Medical Journals.
  6. Word Count: Provide the electronic word count of the manuscript.
  7. Tables and Figures: State the number of tables and figures included.
  8. Conflict of Interest Statement: Declare any potential conflict of interest. Visit the journal’s Conflict of Interest section for more details.
  9. Financial Support Statement: List any financial support received by the authors related to the study or manuscript preparation. Refer to the Financial Disclosure section for guidance.
  10. Authors Contributions: Describe each author’s role in the study, such as designing the research, conducting experiments, and writing the manuscript as per ICMJE Authorship Criteria.
  11. Confirmation that informed patient consent was obtained for publication of the case details. Prior to the submission, authors are requested to format the manuscript in accordance to the journal guidelines.
